50th Day of Meditation Thought by Overseer Nathaniel Braswell

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them .And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

Jesus Christ, before his ascension, instructed the disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father, which was the sending of the Holy Spirit. In John chapter 14 and verse 16, Jesus said I would pray to the father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he might abide forever. After walking with the disciples forty days Jesus ascended into the Heavens and the next ten days, the disciples were in the upper all on one accord in prayer waiting for the promise, knowing All the promises of God are yea and in him amen which means that it’s going to happen. Then after ten days of waiting in the upper room, the Holy Ghost came and filled the house, and they all began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave utterance. This is the power that was promised as far back as the book of Joel chapter 2 and 28a which said and it shall come to pass afterward, that I would pour out my spirit upon all flesh had arrived, the day of Pentecost had fully come, right in Jerusalem.  The disciples were now equipped with the indwelling power of the Holy Ghost to go and witness about Jesus Christ and his resurrection. We all have prayed and fasted over these past fifty days, but now are we ready to stand bold and proclaim the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Ghost. As Peter stood bold and preached the gospel, after being filled, let us also walk in this power. We can no longer allow the enemy to hinder our walk, to stop our deliverance and to keep us bound, but by the power that God has given to all of us walk in your purpose. thank God for the Holy Ghost

49th Day of Mediation Thought by Sister Rhonda Cunningham

1st Corinthians 16:8

But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost

The word Ephesus means desirable.
Ephesus was a place of revival, strength, and fellowship. It was where many found their first love for Christ, so the fellowship was new and fresh

In this scripture, the Apostle Paul is speaking of the place in which he was at the time. He told them beforehand that he will remain at Ephesus until Pentecost. Pentecost is a Jewish festival occurring fifty days after the Passover.
Paul knew that while others presented themselves there to sacrifice according to the ritual of the law. He had another object in view.he knew it would be a larger assembly at that time, and he hoped that, in that way, an opportunity would be presented to him of spreading the gospel.

May the Father’s hand
keep you from stumbling,
the footprints of Jesus
give you confidence to follow,
and the fire of the Spirit
keep you warm and safe
in your walk with God this day.

46th Day of Meditation Thought by Evangelist Joann Davis

Jude 1:20-21

But ye, beloved building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Keeping yourselves in the love of Go, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

The scriptures are letting us know that our faith is built up when we listen to, meditate on, and put into practice in our lives the teachings of Christ word daily. It help builds up, edifies, strengthens us in our faith.

We need the Spirit to assists us in our prayers and requests. I believe that praying in the Holy Ghost is necessary because the scriptures let us know that the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.”

Jude is saying prepare yourself for worship so that you can worship God with a pure heart. Worship can be done in private or in public. Brother and sisters let us continue to look to the future that leads to eternal life. Remember that God will never stop loving his people, but we must be actively involved in maintaining the relationship.

44th Day of Meditation Thought by Deaconess Leola Wilson

John 4:28-30

The woman then left her waterpot and went her way into the city.

The women of Samaria met Jesus at Jacob’s Well. We know the story. After talking to him, she perceived that he was a prophet. Jesus told her of all the things she had done. She left her water pots and went into the city to witness to the people. She said, see a man who told me of all the things I ever did, because of her testimony, they came to see, and many of the people believe in him. What it’s saying to us today in this world is that we need to be witnesses to the people we meet. Some people may not go to church, but when we meet them on the streets, the grocery store, in the workplace, that’s our time to witness to them. Tell of the goodness of Jesus and his love.

43rd Day of Meditation Thought by Lady Linda Braswell

Paul is letting us know that words do matter, to all Christians. But,
Paul’s point is that when God is truly present in our lives when we are living under God’s sovereignty, then we will experience God’s power.
So it is today. We who follow Jesus are to be his witnesses, telling others what he has done for us. This message will not be persuasive unless it is backed up by evidence of God’s power. If people see God at work in and through us, if they sense his presence in our compassion, our prayers, and our communities, then they will be open to hearing what we have to say about Jesus

41st Day of Meditation Thought by Elect Lady Linda Braswell

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

It is essential for us to have accurate knowledge and understanding of who we are. It is far more critical for us to know and understand who God is
In this verse, the Apostle Paul prays for two things: wisdom and revelation.
Apostle Paul, pray for God to grant us the spirit of wisdom and revelation into a more in-depth and more intimate knowledge of Him so that we will have a continues revelation of Him and His ways. So we can live a life pleasing to him.

39th day Meditation Thought by: Brother Williams Davis

John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

What Jesus was saying to Nicomedus was you must receive spiritual rebirth. You must believe in God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. The new birth comes with several steps. You must accept Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. You must repent and ask for forgiveness of your sins. You must change your way of thinking; Jesus is letting us know that this is a must it know way around it because this is the only way into the kingdom of God.
