Day 16 : Prayer by: Pastor Lamont Holifield

Father God, in the matchless name of Jesus, we come before your throne of grace seeking to obtain mercy.  Father, we understand that mercy is available for the guilty.  We confess that challenges have sometimes obscured our vision but have firmly embraced your Word that assures full victory.  Help us Lord to exercise our Faith on a daily basis, to live in Faith, to walk by Faith and to speak your word with the full assurance that everything that has been promised will materialize not many days hence.  Father, thank you for giving us a mind to seek you while you may be found and to call upon you while you are near.  Thank you, Lord for hearing us when we pray and for assuring us that deliverance is ours.  Finally, Lord, at the end of all things, let the Words of our mouth and the meditations of our heart be acceptable in your sight.  You are our Lord, our strength and our redeemer!  We thank you for the Victory!  In Jesus Name we pray!  Amen and so it is . . .

Psalms 34: 4 by: Pastor Lamont Holifield

I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

This discourse in scripture serves to remind us that we must seek the Lord with our whole hearts while he may be found and call upon him while he is near.  At times in this experience called life, we seem to get caught up in the storms, suffer from limited vision due to the fog and clouds that seem to hang low, and lose hope due to our valley experiences.  However, we must remember that we have a God, who is ready, willing and able to see us through any obstacle.  The Word of God states that his ears are open to our prayers.  We must understand that he hears our prayers.  He knows what we need even before we ask.  This should lead us to rest in the promise that deliverance is nigh.  It is interesting that the psalmist did not categorize which fears God delivered him from but stated that God delivered him from ALL his fears.  I want you to envision the all-inclusiveness of the word, “ALL.”  We serve a God, who is ALL-KNOWING, ALL-SEEING and ALL-POWERFUL.  As a result, He desires to deliver us in a wholistic manner.  As we read all accounts in the various books of the Bible, chapter after chapter, one truth remains constant.  That truth is that God assures His people that they will be delivered.  As we go through these fifty days of consecration, settle your busy mind and rest assured that your deliverance draws nigh.
