Day 14 Mediation thought by Sister Shaneek Dunn
“But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.”
God gave us his word to not only instruct us, but to also bless us. When we obey what he asks of us, we get to walk in that blessing. We ought not be just “hearers” of his word, but “doers” applying it to our daily lives. Things go much smoother and line up when we do things his way and not our own. It will not always be easy, but He already knows the end result if we execute it as he desires. God always has a favorable expected end awaiting us. I don’t know about you, but I prefer to receive God’s blessings instead of heartache, headache & delay (or completely missing out) that comes with disobedience. Don’t let the Word of God fall on deaf ears, don’t allow the word to be forgotten when temptations, test & trials come, but allow it to take root in your heart & mind. Let it flourish & grow and share it with others. Let it be your solid foundation and let it bless you beyond measure.
